something done, something still in progress

Seven Days: Day Four: Morning Belly

While Junebug will most likely remain in his watery bubble for another 3 months, the quilt is done.
First, I tied it. Then, I didn't like that at all and un-tied it.
Then, I machine-"quilted" (really just stitched) it with a flower motif inspired by the fabric pattern. This turned out incredibly puckery, which I decided to ignore for the benefit of getting it done. Plus, I think I just need practice (and a different foot for Mr. Sewing Machine) with the machine, and I didn't want to get sick of this quilt by un-doing and re-doing stuff.
Finally, I hand-sewed the binding and threw the quilt into the washer - voila!
