I lost 65 pounds today!

The New Year's Bug finally got through to me after we consolidated rooms to turn the "office" into a "nursery." I sorted through every. single. file in The Ugliest Filing Cabinet Of The World and threw out all those vastly important mortgage statements from 2001 and the W-2s from 1999. I also got rid of all the "permission to register" forms I amassed going to College(s) and my tests and term papers. It was incredibly freeing! 65 pounds of useless paper!!!
And the best part? The Ugliest Filing Cabinet is now NOT cluttering up my sewing room. It lives in the garage (until I can convince The Husband that we might as well throw it out).

two posts in two days - alert the authorities!

I have a thing for Eric Carle's art. I love looking at his picture books! To be sure, he's been a little over-marketed lately (what with the Eric Carle line at Target with growth charts and baby journals and so on), but when I discovered this jigsaw puzzle at Tuesday Mornings a little while ago, I got so excited! So excited, as a matter of fact, that I tried it out over lunch at Wahoo's Tacos. Fortunately, my friend was very understanding.
One of the grown-up picture books I have is this one. And (not to sound too risque) I love the centerfold. Love.
