just what I needed

I'm flying to Germany this Wednesday. I have a to-do list that's longer than my arm, and I'm constantly adding stuff to it. Getting ready for school is pretty time-consuming, getting ready to travel is pretty time-consuming, planning who to visit when and what to do while there is pretty time-consuming (and difficult!).
Obviously, I needed to start a new sewing project. Enter pattern sale at JoAnne's and Built By Wendy blouse/dress pattern.
I used some fabric I bought for about $5.- a few years ago, and cut the blouse on the bias (rebel!). I didn't add the elastic in the sleeves (REBEL!) and I changed the seam allowance (from 5/8 to 1/2 inch).
I'm pleased with myself!
Now excuse me while I add "cleaning the house" and "asking about field trips" to my lists. *sigh*
